for test.html...if u look carefully...that tag in the source file of s2.html...there is no space between <a and href (only tab in between)...so as a result of some ppl's link iterator who is looking for " href"...they might not get test.html...that's what i think... yes, that was my exact problem! i think i fixed it, but i had to account for the "../../test.html" thing, and i changed my program, and now it won't map t1.html, t2.html, or test.html.

After re-reading the new handout I think this may be wrong. For instance, your T2.html doesn't have T1 underneath it. Yes, even though it was the first link and it was under /project/ it should show up under T2.html as well. Ditto for the others. I had to write an entirely new method, with 3 helper methods, as this hit me while I was on the subway. It was right on the first page.

anybody getting the output completely correct? i've been working on this thing for like 30+ hrs, and i think i'm just going to comment and try to get other marks. i can't seem to figure out how to nest things and yet not nest them under a folder... i scrapped and redid my implementation like 3 times... i then ended up doing a hybrid of the first two.. it wasted so much time though, cuz everytime i redid something, i had to find all the bugs, and then in the end i scrapped it... i'm so tired..

dunno if this would help but um... i actually juss put a2,a3,a4 together... cutted out the methods i didn't need for a4.... juss needed add and toString
then in a3 made the map method, with a helper, and a writetofile method.
my map runs the helper then at the end writetofile
my helper does the recursion crap *Note try/catch to see if link is valid*
i think my map works, i can add to tree... but the reason i m stuck is becoz of my toString... i can't get it to work... i didn't do it for a4 btw.. too annoying..
so now i m doin comments n testing..
2 questions
do we need javaDoc for testing ?? handout is unclear
second question regarding testing
am i correct
for every class, test for "normal" case, but for tree or link class test for "normal", "empty", and one exception case.
or is it for all class test for "normal" "empty" and exception
please reply please

You might be correct (after reading the *new* handout a few times). But a few things to note: the old handout is very vague and it's almost as though the new handout is asking a completely different thing. How is that fair, considering we just got the new handout a few days before the project is due? I'm sticking to the (vague) description on the old handout. Secondly, the profs seem to be very flexible on the output style and such. I don't think it'll matter which way you do it, as long as it "makes sense". Also, these are some of the mappings I've done. I don't know if they are right but damn If I'll change them now: members.rogers.com/sdawson93/(I changed some stuff with subdirectories being dead links since I ran these, but it's pretty much what I have) The rogers one was fun, anyone know what a https protocol is? Caused me some problems during that map.
