Well, I've been drawing this up for a bit now and it seems I only do method calling in the main BoneDig class. I mean, the input/output class separate would be the one determining whether or not there are bones in the coordinates inputted right?
Oh yeah, just a reminder: Comment like a whore on this assignment. I keep getting marks off because I hardly put any comments even though it does exactly what it's supposed to.

I see. No biggie, thanks.
Someone was telling me that they made 3 methods to randomly determine where the four bones would be hidden; one for 4, one for 3 called twice, one for 2. Is this necessary at all? I haven't read the newsgroup but I don't think this is how we're supposed to do this.

I put all my method calling in the main class. I don't think there's any other way. You're right about commenting- comment like crazy. Last time I lost so many marks because I didn't comment at all. I thought that we weren't supposed to for the assignments when I handed my previous assignment (I'm sure I read it somewhere).
I have a question. After each guess, do the two versions of the map have to be printed side by side to each other, or just one below the other. It's not clear on the handout since all it says is that when the next guess maps are printed they should printed below the other two.

Observer, they said print the original "after" the grid showing the guesses so one on top of the other should work.
The way I'm writing it is that I have one method handling the bone burying inside a different class.

I used 4 classes for the program. Used one for burying the bones and the other for checking to see if the answer is correc/valid. All my main class does it call methods. Also does anyone know if the grid size have to be put in the main method? I have mine in the bury bones class.
hrmm I used to have majin buu pics but lost them all in a format im sure they are not too hard to find though.

Hello! Just wondering for the BoneDig assignment, do we have to randomly select which bone to hide first? or does it have to be in order (4 then 3 then 3 then 2)?? JOAT

The order in which you choose to hide the lines of bones does not matter. Ie. if you hide the 4 bone line first and then the two 3 bone lines, it doesn't matter. The only thing that you have to make sure is random is the placement. Ie. first randomly choose whether it will go north-south or east-west and then randomly choose which row/column it will go in. I used the Random class, I hope that's the right way.
I made a Random called random, ie - Random random = new Random();
and then used that. It says there must be a 50% probability in the outline for north-south or east-west and I used nextInt() to select both my direction and column/row. I may have to change it to a boolean if it must be a 50% chance but I'm not sure.
I've finished my whole program and it works but I'm just not completely sure on some of the details. The hardest thing is not making the game but fulfiling all their stuff about having an input-output class seperate and making sure you can change the grid size through just changing one line.
