Were the tests different or not? Someone here was saying they are but on the front cover I had to circle my lecture section.
Anyway, in my test at least there were three questions worth 10 each and a bonus. I think everyone got the bonus since you just had to write your ID on every page. As far as the test goes, I don't think I did too well overall. I did question 1 and then looked a bit at question 2 but left it and went to 3. After I'd done 1 and 3 I had only something like 7 minutes to do the last question. I hardly did anything on it since I would have required at least 25 minutes of just thinking what it really wanted. I'll get my marks for 1 and 3 but I royally screwed 2 - I think I'll get 0 for that since I put nothing down.

my test was different... i remember the first question was 7 marks. i found the exam really hard, though. i wasted like 20 minutes just thinking, before i realized time was running out. i know i didn't do well...

EurasianVixen, sounds like you and I had the same test. I did NOTHING for that exception question (question 2) ! I don't think that tracing question was too bad ...unless I happened to completely misunderstand it. That stack question seemed weird at first but after reading through it I thought I knew what they meant, it was just tricky trying to implement the methods though. For that question (1) and question 2 I think a lot of time was needed to think about them. I got 1 done (though I only put down one reason for part b), but if I'd started to think about 2 there's no way I'd have gotten on to #3. We need time to think. I hope you read the bonus on the front page, that's an easy one mark at least.
Modify: Actually I take it back, compared to any other tracing examples we've had, that was tricky. I'm getting a vibe that they really don't want more than three people in their computer science programs.

That Gries test was really hard, but I don't mind since it's only worth 10%. BTW, Sailor Uranus is so cool.

sorry to break the news, but I think the school is trying to make this year's csc entry as hard as possible. Basically there are too many people enrolled this year. If you read the past assignment vs. what we have this year. You will notice the instruction is described with more techincal mumbles and the instructions are all over the place.
UT can be such dicks sometimes. Just like Life Science, their enrollment mark is only low 80's, but almost 75% of the total number of life science students will not make it to 2nd year. So what does that means to UT? LOTS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, from 1st year enrollments.
